Mutton Punchers Sheep Dog Trial December10th in Sundance
(Please note minor changes indicated in RED)

Thiswill be a USBCHA sanctioned sheepdog trial held at ~~theCrook CountyFairgrounds in Sundance~~ TomWagner's arena in Sundance. It will be a ~~points/timetrial~~ time-only trial.

Tom Wagner's arena is heated and islocated just off of Interstate 90 exit 199. The arena iseasily visible from the exit.

Trial starts at 10:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive 1/2 hourearlyto complete registration and payment. Set-up and break-downhelpis always needed and welcomed.

This is a great opportunity to make two trials in two days since itfalls the day after the Blizzard Classic!

2007National Western Stock Show

Please note that there has been a change of format for the Open Sheepcompetition for the 2007 National Western Stock Show.

The Premium Book now reads �The twenty (20) dogs with thefastesttimes completing the course the farthest will proceed to theFinals. Final placings will be determined by the fastestcumulative times from the qualifying round and the Finalround.�

(In previous years the top 20 from the first go-round advanced to thesemi-finals, the 5 dogs with the fastest cumulative times after thesemi-finals advanced to the finals. Placing for the 5 finalists wasbased on the best time during the finals competition only. Handlerscould only take one dog into the finals regardless of standings afterthe semi-final round.)

Under the new format, what previously was a semi-final round nowbecomes the Final round with premiums being paid to the 10 fastestcumulative times.

TheSecond Blizzard Classic SDT of the Season is December 9th

Time and Points Arena Trial using yearling range ewes. Classesinclude Open, Open Ranch, Nursery, Intermediate and Novice. Nursery andnoviceclasses are dependent on having enough dogs to make class.

Held at Barn 3 at the Cam-Plex in Gillette. WY
USBCHA Sanctioned Open and Nursery.
Earns one (1) point toward the State FairSheepdog Finals
Trial starts at 11:00 a.m. unless otherwisespecified.Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early in order to complete payment andliability release.
Limit 2 dogs per-handler, per-class.
Points and time. Must put all sheepthrough each obstacle.

Open: $30
Open Ranch: $30
Nursery: $25
Intermediate: $25 (No Open handlers may run inthis class)
Novice: $20 (Beginners)

WY State Fair Sheep DogChampionship

The Wyoming State Fair will be holding a StateSheepdog Championship.

Each sheep trialheld from now through the State Fair (can be a judged or pointtrial) that is approved to be a point (qualifying) trial,will count.

Each competitor per trial will receive one�participation�point to go towards competing at the WY State Fair Sheep Dog Trial.Regardlessof how many dogs a competitor runs at the qualifying trials, they canonlyreceive one �participation� point pertrial. Handlers who walkto the post will recive a point, regardless of what class, and even ifthey DQor retire.

The �participation� pointswill be added up andthehandlers with the most points will run at the WY State Fair Sheep DogFinalsTrial. The number of dogs to run in the finals will depend onhowmuch time the trial is allocated and will be announced at a later time.

The Finals will consist of two runs perdog�one timedobstaclecourse and one judged run. Scores will be combined for theplacings. Because the �participation�point trialswill be a mix ofjudged and timed, we will have both at the Finals.

If a trial host wantstheir trial counted as a qualifier, they need to contact LisaCunningham far enough inadvance to ensure the membership is notified on either the websiteand/or thenewsletter, and advertise it as such on their advertising.

Only sheep trials will count as a qualifier andtrials cannot be approved after the trialtakes place.
